So what's an alternative wedding?
Alternative - not following the norm.
So you want to wear a poka-dot dress and your hubby want's to wear converse, perhaps you want to stage your day in a decorated barn or even in your backyard, well that's alternative - it's not the traditional white wedding with a sit down meal (not that I'd knock that, if that's floats your boat go for it).
I do prefer to call it 'individuality'.
I love the non-conformists, I hate the media (especially one television competition, they seem to scoff at anything different and seem to encourage the brides to be, well, bitchy) car crash TV that keeps individuality alternative.
When someone has a the crazy idea of getting married in a old barn wearing a poka-dot dress and converse I get all excited, they want some thing individual - it's still romantic, probably more because they are doing it their way. After all it is their day.
